KEY ACHIEVEMENTS & SKILLS
MECHANICAL AND MECHATRONICS ENGINEER

Developed self-sensing piezoceramic system for nanometer precision and
active vibration dampening for micro-manufacturing applications. Independently
devised validation software and test stand for current linear-nanomotor
development.

Constructed a GUI-digitizer tool to improve orthopaedic surgical treatment
of tibial rotation.
BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING TEAM RESEARCHER
-
Validated the vestibular benefits of centrifugation as a microgravity countermeasure
for NASA’s National Space Biomedical Research Initiative. Supervised seven
undergraduate researchers and designed eye-tracking and statistical filtering
software.

Conducted trials to approve a new cancer drug to decrease metastases, while
performing the initial surgical trials of a second thoracic drug-delivery
system that reduces the need for systemic chemotherapy.
INTERDISCIPLINARY SYSTEMS ENGINEERING AND AEROSPACE MANAGEMENT
-
Edited an international reference paper to involve new space-faring countries
in international deep-space missions. Established communications and schedules
for a forty-person, interdisciplinary team. Presented technical reports
and interim reviews and led scientific and engineering design teams.

Approved scholarships and developed policy as a director of a space-education
in Canada advocacy group. Responsible for financial plans, budget proposals,
targeting new markets, and assessing legal requirements of the organization.

Designed a deep-space, geo-seismic probe for a large space-robotics company,
following CSA documentation standards.
