Heidelburg, Germany
Sorry, no pictures for this one; I didn't want my camera to get wet. Mmmmmm... Fresh pressed, homemade farmer's market apple cider. Still waiting for the pictures.
Life as a valet in the land where copious amounts of food are available for a very low price... Anything that they could do backwards, they did backwards. Fortunately, all came out well. Also see Trafalgar Square pictures.
Nine international, intercultural and interdisciplinary students get unleashed on the big town. Lets all hold hands and sing "it's a small world after all..." All the fun I had working at MIT as part of my placement at ISU. Three months condensed into a couple of random notes... Pictures to follow. Martha's Vineyard, Cape Cod's living land of contradictions. Our class trip to Moscow, complete with vodka and crooked cops. Spassiba, Nassim. Robbie, Dan, Sandra and I, getting lost in a region of wine, mustard, and escargot (maybe the snail slowness was contageous, and that's why Sandra keeps missing trains?). Ile de France houses many of the castles used by the French nobility as their escapes from Paris. Danny and I checked out Rambouillet and Fontainebleu.
Island or not? This ancient castle is now Disney's ally in Normandy, though much of the awesome power of this stronghold, prison and church still remains (if you can get past the sheep sentries). Special Canadian cameos inside. The French Riviera, a great way to escape for the weekend from the pressures of projects, and get a nice burn while we're at it. Starring, Dave, Mila, Sandra, Cody, and Danny. How to lose a magnificent lunch, in 3D. Some decompression fun in the sun, in Avignon (and Nimes, and Gord). aka Dancing on (and under) the Bridge. More to come... |
